    It ain’t mega cheap but certainly cheaper than phoning and a lot quicker than sending an sms message from your own mobile.

    I generally SMS mobiles anyway as i’s more expensive to leave a message on their answering machines than a land line answering machine, if they have one. 🙄

    I have found that it’s cheaper to have a mobile here to SMS from off the PC than phone all the mobile numbers we get now. Plus the customer can then deal with it at their convenience.

    Don’t you find you get friction from customers texting instead of ringing ?

    Some get annoyed but many proffesional people or indeed people on the road prefer it, as the old saying goes, you can’t please all the people…
