Yellow Pages (Yell Ltd) have cocked-up the amout of money taken from my account via Direct Debit. However it didn’t come to light until I checked the period between when I was paying using Direct Debit and when I started paying cash. I queried the amount with them (£89.48) and they apologised stating that it was (quote) “a glitch in our system during the period when VAT switched from 17.5{e5d1b7155a01ef1f3b9c9968eaba33524ee81600d00d4be2b4d93ac2e58cec2d} to 20{e5d1b7155a01ef1f3b9c9968eaba33524ee81600d00d4be2b4d93ac2e58cec2d} and that as a result you have been overcharged because the system got the Tax Point date incorrect”. :rolls:
They’ve since apologised, thanked me for pointing the error out and have emailed me saying they will refund my bank account in the next few days via BACS.
So, you might like to run through your own accounts with Yell to see if you too have been overcharged? 😉
