Hi, I have a maytag GZ2626GEKB, fridge freezer, a couple of weeks ago the we noticed that the freezer and fridge were not running as cold as they should be, food in the freezer was actually defrosting. We called an engineer who replaced the control board last week at a cost of £250. A few days later we noticed that the fridge was still not as cold as usual. I have set both fridge and freezer onto the coldest setting of 7, the fridge is running at approx 10 degrees centigrade (50 Degrees Fahrenheit) and the freezer is running at -16 degrees centigrade (3 degrees fahrenheit). The engineer wants to charge additional fees to come and take another look. Any idea what the problem could be.Re: Maytag fridge not cooling properly
hello john, it could be one of a few things really.
are the symptoms exactly the same as before you had the pcb fitted?
if so, then it would be fair to assume that the engineer should at least come back out and check his work.
it could be a system fault or a defrost problem.
certainly at setting 7, it should be very cold.
i’d call him back and see what he says.
