ParticipantNo matter how many times I tried to find the thread on 3 mins fault – still not got any results. I know that on the older style website, I would find this thread very easily. Can anyone explain to me in plain English on how to search for the thread? I put down +bosch+3 min then I get nothing, tried +bosch then to be told too common.
Instead I will ask directly…
Is there a fault code for 3 mins fault? The description is water going in but not going through the cycle. It has been reset, power off, etc. I am thinking faulty circulation motor or drain pump or worse PCB board
What you think?

I’ve never heard of a “3 mins fault” either so you’re not alone. 😀
No doubt a time-out failure again, so all the usual suspects to look for, blockages, duff heater, filling faults, draining faults etc. Also don’t forget that turbidity sensors can cause these problems especially if the customer always uses an ‘auto’ cycle. 😉

thanks Martin,
I had a look at the dishwasher, it did all of the things I expected to do. Draining well, wash motor works well, heater gave good readings, soap dispenser works.
Which kinda leaves what you said the turbity sensor – I do not know what is it and where to find it, can you help?
I must point out that the dw gave out quite low insulation reading of 143mohms. Not the readings I am used to as it usually way over 200mohms. I can’t think of a reason of low insulation readings other than heater and wash motor but they both works. Customer reported of nothing unusual such as poor washing performance as if that is the case then it would require a complete new heater unit.
The dishwasher in question is in line for recall for new module.

:hmm: With that lousy megger reading it could soon be in line for a heater unit change anyway. The turbidity sensor is an infrared device clipped onto the side of the heater box (tub out to access). But to confirm that it is NOT the source of the fault it will need running on a non-auto programme like quickwash. As only ‘auto’ wash programmes use the sensor anyway.

The heater unit itself was over 200mohms and the readings I gave was from a plug of the dishwasher!
Thanks for the advice, I will check it out later.
