Participantwhat a night mare im having with aeg fridgefreezer pcb
went it and pcb was clicking etc ..
ordered a new control pcb – went back to fit it
as it turns out you also need the display pcb as orig display pcb wont fit to new control pcb – new control pcb has a different multi plug..which requires a new modified display pcb
now i dont mind this – but you would think aeg would tell you this when ordering this 1st pcb – there is nothing on tds it simply shows you pics of the components and the parts list
there is a tech builitin regarding this problem which i now have –
3vis to customer new cont pcb , new display pcb , now discovered that one of the ntc connections has also been changed and now ntc wont fit new pcb
there is no mention of this issue on tech builitin regarding the changing of pcb ..
had another look at tds – there is no tech advice on this issue .. there is however a tech note about changing ntc sensors – which shows you need to cut ntc sensor wires and refit a new connector to get it to fit pcb ..
so im now going to order these connectors to see if this will work ..
luckily the customer has a spare fridge and is very understanding …
my point is how ridiculios is this situation..
i simply wanted a pcb – done all the correct things ie used tds – checked i was ordering correct part – looked at the notes regarding serial etc .
if this is the hassle we are going to get whilst ordering aeg zanussi parts them in afraid i will be telling customer to bin their appliance – which im sure will have the desired effect on aeg sales ..
i know that this is a classic situ where manufacturer is making it hard for independents to carry out a simple repair to one of their products ..but in the process they have now lost a customer who wont buy another aeg-zan and an engineer who will probably now advise to bin,
do these manufacturers not realise this deliberate run around they are creating will ultimately lead to loss of future sales
rant over

online martin
there isnt any info relating to the problem i now have
ie ntc sensor will not connect to new pcb as the connection is different.
and to be honest im not convinced the other 5 pin connector that goes onto board is 100{e5d1b7155a01ef1f3b9c9968eaba33524ee81600d00d4be2b4d93ac2e58cec2d} fitting okthe only document that has anything to do with pcb and connectors is one that advises on changing the ntc ..
there seems to be at least 7 service kits available if you need to change ntc – a couple of the kits include new pcbs and connectors – ..
my problem is im not changing ntc – but i still need the new connectors – which they dont list or mention you need when changing pcbs..
i could take a stab in the dark and order one of the 7 service kits – but i dont know what one i would need ?? and should i be having to order a ntc service kit just to get the correct pcb and connectors …
prod no i have 923523608
hope this make sense ally

Look PNC 923523608 up on TDS OFFLINE 2008 rev 2 disc…..
There are 14 bulletins and one (faulty temperature sensor)
explains the differences between the kits.HTH,
