How many people have had internal cracking to the freezer compartment of Samsung RS21DCNS. The Fridge freezer was switched off, when it was switched back on internal cracks have appeared on side panel and door compartment.

    Hi

This isn’t a common problem with this model but it can happen on any fridge due to expansion compression of the plastic when it cools down or heats up.The liner SHOULD be of a standard to withstand this movement though. How old is the appliance?

    Hi

I really do not know how old the fridge freezer is ! My problem is when i moved out my rented property the management company switched the fridge freezer off, when the new tenants moved in the fridge freezer was switched back on and then the cracks appeared ! I am being held responsible for the cracks which appeared, thus the landlords are not returning my large deposit. I am desperatley trying to build a case to prove that this is a fault with the appliance and no fault of mine. Any help would be appreciated.

    Hi

As an EX samsung engineer I can confirm that IF the cracks are on the SIDES of the freezer compartment then this could NOT be caused by yourself. If the cracks are on the BASE of the appliance then dependent on pictures it COULD be caused by items being dropped .
