ParticipantI have two customers both reporting identical faults with these machines. I checked the first one out but got no where. The program sets fine on the panel (top left of door) but when you close the door the machine doesn’t start. Checked door interlock and it switches correctly. I’m thinking that the board in the base is at fault? I checked this visually and it looks okay (newish looking and no blown tracks / components etc).
Any ideas based on experience would be most useful?

Most likely a piece of glass stuck in the pump or the pumps failed?

I’ve had a couple with breaks in the ultra thin, cheapo wiring harness down to the base PCB. :rolls:

You mean where the wiring runs from the base of the door?

No, these were both halfway up the door, the wiring passes under a metal rod and as Johnny says it gets stuck in the bitumen in this area.

Okay, thanks, thats good info, I’ll check it out next week and report back. It’s funny really, I thought that door wiring faults on dishwashers were a thing of the past. I remember back about 15 years when I’d get 3 or 4 door wiring faults per week. Since then most makers seriously improved their designs meaning that door wiring was routed in such a manner that it couldn’t get snagged on the sound proofing or get over stressed as it passed through the hinge at the base of the door. I guess this model is a big step backwards – cost cutting no doubt!
