Older AEG Favorit machine regularly (fortnightly?) collecting water in the base and pumping out continuously.

Last time I took the cover off the side to empty it I didn’t put the pipe back in the correct place – this is the one that goes into the little holding pits on the side of the tray, from the water fill matrix. I think I managed to trap it between the side panel and the base.

This morning there was a collection of water on the floor from the pipe and the base was dry. The wash sequence seemed to have finished OK, but there was half a bucket of water in the base of the machine (extracted with a sponge).

The fill matrix is sludged up in various places. Is this going to be the cuplrit for the water coming out of the pipe? Replacing this solved the problem last time (see forum thread here). Are parts still available?

    Machine details: ENr 911 232 014, FNr 106/523501, Typ 45 CED 03, 646.143 200 LP.

    Hi,

    If it’s this fill chamber:

Then yes, it is still available and that being gunged up will cause issues.

Yes, that looks like the right one.

The part number given in the other thread is 1118139-00/3 but that was 6 years ago.

I’ll order one. Any tricks to watch out for when fitting?

I don’t know that much about them TBH for AEGs. But any metering tank filled with gunge will cause issues and, so far as I know, they’re pretty easy to replace.
