We’ve got a Bauamatic BDW13 dishwasher which is displaying an ‘E3’ error code meaning the element is not heating correctly. A few days ago a plastic ‘roller’ part came off one of the trays and melted onto the element, causing it to be partly burnt and creating a smoky smell.
Will replacing the element solve the problem, or is it better to look at getting a new dishwasher?
We’ve had it three years and it’s now discontinued, so I’m not sure how easy it would be to get an element for it.
