ParticipantI am looking for some advice on a Zanussi Jetsream+ Model ZWF16581W Product Number 914522629/01. I have one of these machines in front of me and basically when it is turned on with a programme selected it does nothing apart from you can hear the pump spinning around. I have checked the machine over and my thought is a faulty inlet valve as no water is entering the machine but these appear to be a special order and would be a bit of an expensive mistake if it turns out not to be the fault. I havent come accross this model before (new to this game – just finished training course so still at the learning stage) and due to the fact that this machine is supposed to try to think for itself ( 😀 ) is there anything else I need to consider before biting the bullet and ordering the valve?

Hi Mate welcome to the mad house 😉
I presume because you are new to this you will not be aware that there is a diagnostics program for Zanies? I you care to PM me with your email I might be able to help with some goodies.
By the way you need to test the valve with a meter to see if the coils OKAugust 3, 2011 at 5:29 pm #356658appliancesquad

Thanks for the reply Mal, I will PM you as requested. Your right I wasnt aware of the programme so anything you can provide would be very much appreciated.
I checked the valve which is electronic. It has 3 connections, one which I assume is from the main board and the other 2 which are for the 2 water valves. I did get readings from both of the valves.
The only life I am getting from the washer is the quiet buzzing noise which is coming from one of the pumps which is spinning (This model has two pumps, one of which is for the jetstream). The display is showing that the programme is in progress so no clues via an error code to work from.
The one certain lesson I learnt from my training course is that I have it all to learn!
Any advice accepted and thanks again.

How long was the course?, it does not supprise me that they take your money and dump you out on the street. I would have thought they should have at least helped you with, names of parts suppliers, which companies provide technicle backup (few and far between) where you can access information, etc.
I presume they did train you to use “Meggers, loop testers and multimeters”?
BTW you still need to PM me with your email address 😉 -
