I purchased a Lamona washing machine with our new kitchen from Howdens two years ago and since then have had no end of problems with it.
Basically, no matter which wash cycle I set it on, it does what it wants ie: 40 degree wash, it will fill and drain, spin and then that’s the end of that cycle!
Sometimes it doesn’t spin, sometimes it won’t drain.
I assume that the motherboard? is completely mixed up.
I have tried unplugging it and starting again, sometimes this works, sometimes not!
As I speak I can hear it in the kitchen now. I put it on a 30 degree quick wash and for over half an hour now it has been continualy filling and draining.
I am wondering whether anybody else has had this problem and whether it is worth calling out an engineer to have a look at it or whether it would be simply easier to throw it in the bin and purchase a proper machine?
Any advice you could give would be appreciated

dont know which machine you have got but searching lamona auto on google brought up

    http://www.howdens.com/product-range/appliance-collection/laundry/washing-machines/lamona-integrated-washing-machine-1400rpm-1/

this machine is a candy in disguise and the selector behind the proramme knob will be your problem. If the contacts get dirty it selects wrong programme. had one the other day that was set on a 40 wash and did a 90
just buy a new selector and fit it thay are not too expensive

The selector may only be part of the problem. If the machine is filling…draining…filling…draining…filling for half an hour, the drain hose of the machine could be too low and the water is syphoning out of the machine.

To be fair I dont find these machines that bad.
