ParticipantHi all
I’ve just moved into a house with a Diplomat ADP4890 built-in double oven but all the markings on the control panel have worn off.
Does anyone have a photo of the front panel that they could give me, or any other way of helping me work out which knob does what and where the temperature markings are! Many thanks for any help you can give me.

Hi Tim
If you have no luck with a photo or description you can still get the instruction manual from http://www.hygenadiplomatspares.co.uk/ for about a tenner posted.
HTH 🙂

Hi Don,
Thanks for the reply 😀 .
I’ve actually got an instruction manual, but as it covers a number of different models with different functions there are no pictures of knob positions for the different modes and temperatures.

Hi there,
Did you ever succeed in getting hold of what the controls should be on the front panel? I have exactly the same problem!!
Cheers,
Rick

Sorry Rick but I never got anywhere trying to find a picture.
In the end I bought an oven thermometer for a few pounds, which has given me an idea of the scale on the temperature controls.December 31, 2013 at 6:02 pm #357010Briktheprop

Ah shame. Our oven temperature scales are sort of still there, but it’s the symbols on the left-hand knob for both the upper and lower ovens that have almost all gone.
I’ve attached a picture I managed to find from searching on old ebay items, but it’s not 100{e5d1b7155a01ef1f3b9c9968eaba33524ee81600d00d4be2b4d93ac2e58cec2d} clear and I have contacted the vendor to see if he has the originals (no reply so far) – it might be useful for you though as the temperature dials seem to show quite well.
If you want to show me a pic of yours, I’ll show you a pic of mine!! 😛

That’s brilliant, many thanks – mine has no markings left now 🙁
The left most dial is just main oven temperature.
The second dial is main oven mode (I think the first three are light, conventional oven, fan oven)
The third dial is the top oven temperature followed by half grill then full grill
Last dial is grill temperatureHope that helps a bit.

Brilliant, thanks for that info.
I think we’ll have to replace it sooner or later as it’s not in great condition, but will do for now!
