Large capacity Wpool washing machine fault “dead machine”, power to the upper control board from mains suppressor OK low voltages on this board appear OK tested across the electolytic capacitors, no power to the door interlock from the board and no front display or function buttons working the machine. Showed no fault code and simply died during a cycle, there does not appear to be any damage to the control board or dry joints broken cables ETC.

Has anyone any ideas on this one?

I have never seen this model, nor looked it up but there are three things I have known to cause “no go” on Whirlpool washers. These are low brushes, o/c htr element and lastly a fusible resistor on the board (22R – has been much discussed in this forum). Oh and if it’s a commercial t/loader, it might have a 6.3A slow blow fuse in a wiring loom somewhere near the top – or was that t/dryers?
    Mike.
