    Hi
What steps do I need to take to check what is wrong with my Diplomat dishwasher when the machine is filling but the circulation motor is not running? Dishwasher is filling but ciirculation motor not running or maybe the overfow circuit is permanently activated. What do I need to do to fix this?

First thing required for exact diagnosis is the model number Ryck. Should be around the edge of the door.

General pointers can be pump jammed by foreign body, or start/run capacitor failure.

If overflow circuit was activated the machine would NOT fill!

Do not do anything without unplugging the machine first!

when your dishwasher fills and the wash motor is supposed to function and it appears to be a no go, try switching off the appliance and listen very carefully near the base. If you here a wherring noise, it is quite possible you would need a new motor for the existing one is turning but the fan that pushes the water round has come off and this cannot be rectified.

Note; this test should be carried out in total peace and quiet so you can here the noise.

    OT
