I have a Inedesit BF50 Dishwasher which wouldn’t finish its cycle. After looking around various forums I replaced the heating element (the old one being covered in limescale and blackened at one end).

The new element seems not to be getting any power and gets stuck at the same point in the cycle. Everything else seems to be working ok as it finishes when I manually click past the heating cycle

What else could have gone wrong to stop the element getting power?

It apears to be a Brandt made machine. Some of these have a resettable safety cut out stat located on the top of the sump at the back.
