ParticipantHi,
We order quite few bits from Europart, partly because they said they would give all WTA members a 10{e5d1b7155a01ef1f3b9c9968eaba33524ee81600d00d4be2b4d93ac2e58cec2d} discount, and we always want to support people who support the industry.
However, despite being assured that the discount had been applied, after chatting to a few non-WTA members, I found the prices I had were exactly the same. So I emailed them to find out what was happening, to be told that they actually CAN’T apply discounts to accounts, as I was promised, and I should have been using a coupon code all along.
Obviously was a little annoyed by this as the 10{e5d1b7155a01ef1f3b9c9968eaba33524ee81600d00d4be2b4d93ac2e58cec2d} discount I was promised but wasn’t getting would have added up to £thousands.
Went to go place an order today with the coupon code to find that they’ve clearly added an 10{e5d1b7155a01ef1f3b9c9968eaba33524ee81600d00d4be2b4d93ac2e58cec2d} extra charge to my account. The cynic in me thinks this is to counteract the 10{e5d1b7155a01ef1f3b9c9968eaba33524ee81600d00d4be2b4d93ac2e58cec2d} coupon they now expect me to be using.
E.g. here – item cost is £7.20 but the basket cost is £8.00
I’d advise anyone currently using the WTA discount to check that it is applied. I’ve emailed them, hopefully it is an honest mistake but I have to say, it doesn’t look great.

Qualtex econ pump(Askoll) £3.61. Quite a bit cheaper.

RobThis is the recirc pump for a Zanussi w/m, the standard Ascoll pumps will not fit there as the impellors are too big.

As indicated in a previous post, I stopped using Europart.
My business was too small for them and they closed the account.
I now use Qualtex. Have found them to be more helpful & friendly so far.

Hi Chris,
impellors on these are 37mm, smaller than normal drain Askolls and I’m sure i have fitted these as recirc pumps on Zans.

When was that agreed as I don’t recall ever seeing anything about an additional discount and 10{e5d1b7155a01ef1f3b9c9968eaba33524ee81600d00d4be2b4d93ac2e58cec2d} seems a tad generous knowing the margins as that’s more than spares distributors make on some lines?

I’ve already sent a PM to Chris after his post was made (Friday evening). I’m waiting a reply.
I can’t see, nor recall any 10{e5d1b7155a01ef1f3b9c9968eaba33524ee81600d00d4be2b4d93ac2e58cec2d} Discount being agreed between the WTA & Europart.
I’ve asked Chris to send me details of WTA 10{e5d1b7155a01ef1f3b9c9968eaba33524ee81600d00d4be2b4d93ac2e58cec2d} Discount deal with Europart. Knowing Chris, I would have expected Chris to raise this with the WTA as an issue before starting a thread on it though 😉
A note to remember… Any WTA Discount is offered by the supplier to WTA Members. It is the members responsibility to ensure that any agreed WTA Member discount is in place within their own trade account.

I do not have an account and have not purchased from Europart.
On the Europart stand at the UKW meeting they did tell everyone who was interested all WKW Members would receive a 10{e5d1b7155a01ef1f3b9c9968eaba33524ee81600d00d4be2b4d93ac2e58cec2d} discount. But you had to register with them at the meeting to receive it. At least thats what I was told on the stand.Bob

Thanks for that Bob…
I will enquire with Europart on behalf of the WTA tomorrow and will post the response accordingly. As far as I’m concerned, we have no WTA deal with Europart regarding a 10{e5d1b7155a01ef1f3b9c9968eaba33524ee81600d00d4be2b4d93ac2e58cec2d} Discount on spare parts.
As per above, I’ll post the outcome tomorrow.

Moved this thread to the WTA forums, best to keep it ‘in house’ with all the other flak flying around. 😉

Just spoke to Phil Evans @ Europart who has confirmed that they do and will give WTA Members 10{e5d1b7155a01ef1f3b9c9968eaba33524ee81600d00d4be2b4d93ac2e58cec2d} Discount on their orders.
There is a code box on the order screen that you have to use to get this discount applied as the system will not generate the discount automatically.
The code any WTA Member has to use is UKWTA10
If there are any more issues with this, please contact Europart directly in the first instance to discuss your account / discount, then if you still haven’t rectified any issue, please give me a call or send me an email:
