This is a zanussi made machine product914601122/00 serial number 75000023,about 4 years old.The wash cycles work fine, but on tumble dry after a few minutes the code E20 flashes.I’ve checked the heaters and themostats and they all have continuity although there is what looks like a thermister at the front of the heater box with 3 terminals which i can’t really check.I recon it could be the main board at fault, has anyone else had this problem and what does E20 mean? Any help gratefully received.

without going into diagnostics you could have 1 of 4 faults

    E21 poor draining
E22 Difficulty in water fill during drying or drying
condenser clogged (anti-boiling pressure switch closed on “FULL”)
E23 Defective triac for drain pump
E24 Malfunction in sensing circuit on triac for drain pump

can send you workshop manual if you let me have an email

E20 fault code on tumble dry = Fluff blocked condenser. Remove condenser and thoroughly clean it…..job done!

Thanks a bunch Martin, the customer has been on holiday for weeks!!The condenser was blocked to the eyeballs but you cant see that till you strip the cabinet, not always easy. Now working perfectly. Its great we can share our knowledge, top man.
