How old is this unit ? could be evap sensor shorting out but dependent if its the whirlpool variant.

Hi Bryan…we have the same model and we’re having problems getting the correct fridge damper assy, it’s the one that has a spring with two legs rather than a coil spring in it and the motor contacts are facing up by the microswitch rather than facing down and away…you don’t happen to have the uk part number by any chance?

hi bryan unit about 5 year old , dont think its whirlpool
i fitted the jazz pcb about 4 months ago

im still stuck .. to recap appliances runs for about 4 hours and then stops ? …switch on and it will run again ..

ally that sounds like a pcb fault. the gc2224 was a maytag appliance as opposed to a whirlpool built one.
you can run it through a check to check the integrity of the sensors, via the pcb. instructions will be taped to the underneath of the appliance at the front, on the fridge side.
i would think your problem is the pcb though.cheers.
