    Hi there,

    I’m after some advice. I need to replace two of the electrodes on our Diplomat ADP1160 hob. The gas is absolutely fine I light it with a lighter, it’s just the electrode is old and the spark doesn’t go all the way down (it’s actually broken off).

    I’ve located the part (H002166). Can you advise if it is safe to do myself?

    I don’t recognise the part number so, I’m guessing that’s someone else’s.

    The actual part number is 11550162 and the part available here:

    The hob top need to be lifted up, so all burners off, knobs and everything else and them undo a good bit of the screws that secure it to lift it up. They should be easily enough replaced. Then back down in reverse and seal the hob top back to the worktop again but not with silicon.

    It isn’t a two minute job but from what I can see the gas supply shouldn’t need to be interrupted to do it. If you do accidentally do that, you need a Gas Safe engineer to test it for gas soundness.

    Hello, do either of you have a copy of the ADP1160 Diplomat hob cooker manual? Without this I cannot get a kitchen fitted?
