Opti-myst® uses unique, state-of-the-art technology to present the most realistic flame and smoke effect ever seen in an electric fire, and will captivate you the moment you see it. The fully 3-dimensional effect uses ultra-sonic technology to create an ultra fine water mist that is illuminated to create what appear to be flames and smoke, an illusion so realistic it is difficult to distinguish from the real thing. Combined with Optiglo® glowing logs and shimmering ashbed, Opti-myst® produces an effect which surpasses all expectations for realism in an electric fire. Additionally this superior flame effect can be used independently of heat, so you can still enjoy the cosiness of the flames on dark mild evenings, or even when the central heating is on, without overheating.

As well as silent operation, the Cassington also features a 2kW heat output, choice of heat settings, thermostatic and remote control, and is finished in a smart, modern grey. Plus, the Cassington comes with extended life, Dichroic Xenon bulbs and is virtually maintenance free. Finally, as with all Dimplex electric fires, you get the added reassurance of BEAB safety approval, which means the X1S has been produced to the most stringent safety requirements for domestic electrical appliances.
