Yeh… Filthy. Seriously that’s really the only cause to make them smoke

Not been out to it yet but she has apparently informed Amica HQ that it is clean. 😥
We shall see. 🙂

You’ll have to post a pic of how “clean” it is when you get there! 😆

It wasn’t that bad TBH, she was stood over me so didn’t bother with a picture.
I suggested that it could be the missing inner door glass causing it to appear to be smoking.
She said it has done it from new, but she also said earlier that the inner door fell off the first time she used it. :rolls:
Had to fit a new inner door and clips, I know these are a budget cooker but the lower inner door glass clips on these are a joke, horrid, little flimsy bits of plastic. 🙁

Yeah they are. They feel like they’re going to snap as you fit them. Never had a set fail a second time though touch wood.

The compound of the plastic of the clips has been changed, so the new ones should be a lot more reliable :))

The new lower clip had already been broken by the customer before I arrived, ( parts had been posted out to her ) its not just the plastic, its the whole design. It only needs a single small screw in each lower clip to solve the problem.
By the bye, this customer is still complianing that the oven is smoking, says it has done it from new. 😕
Going back this afternoon after she has had it running for half an hour.

Yes, went back and as she opened the door of the oven a huge cloud a smoke billowed out.
However the door glass was running with grease as was the bottom of the oven.
She later admitted that she did a lot of roasting but never covered the joints with foil.
I think she must have given it a clean before my first visit. :rolls:

Nice one. I had the mother of all grotty cookers yesterday! I dropped one of the back plate screws when putting it back together and couldn’t find it in all the goo!
