I have the above model.Its an old beast and recently it has been playing up, it will not start when a programme is selected. the lights come on (eg economy 55 and wash) the drain pump does not run and it will not fill. I can hear the timer/programmer advancing and the detergent dispenser catch operating every so often but nothing else. When pressing cancel (pre rinse and normal 65 together A appearing in display)the A will appear for about 10 seconds then it just clicks away. normally able to select a delay but does nothing when button pressed. any ideas what could be wrong as i said it is old but i would like to see if something can be done before rushing out for a new one.

update. switched off left for a while then switched back on machine idle(ie no program selected) still can’t select a delay and if i open the door the wash light comes on and goes off when door closed

Any number of components could result in symptoms such as this. All in turn would need checking, for example, the drain pump, float switch, inlet/safety valve, wiring loom etc.
Old beast for sure but worthy of a local expert calling in to take a look for you. There may be such a firm in your area so simply click HERE to find one. 😀
