called to this and was a bit nonplussed, it fills and circulates then starts to heat, it continues to heat for a few minutes taking about 9 amps then heat switches off and it just circulates but doesnt advance any further and sticks, however if I click the programmer on one step it continues to heat again to the correct temperature and then advances normally and finishes the wash sucessfully.

Any ideas would be appreciated, I have cleaned out the metering tank/matrix etc and still no change.

strange that it starts to heat and then cuts out but heats properly when clicked on one step.

First things first, you cannot “click the programmer on one step”. That is not possible as it is microprocessor controlled.

Secondly, this machine is subject to Bosch’s Safety Recall and you need to advise your customer of that fact. I suspect that the Control Module (a.k.a programmer) is at fault in this case and BSH will replace it FREE OFF CHARGE, no questions asked.

    Sorted! 😀

Now we are talking the correct model, first try cleaning the crud off the timer knob? Chances are it’s sticking due to coffee/tea spillages down the front? Failing that, the Timer (Part No 264177)must be knacked I would guess. 😕

Thanks for the reply, I decided on the timer in the end and have left the customer with a price. 🙂
