Participantindesit wil153, 5 yrs old.
intermittent odd behaviour over last 6 wks thats become pretty much contstant now.
wil153 has the pcb fascia control with the variable wash temp and prog knobs, and obv separate back module.
cust says:
regardless of which program its put on it will wash at the hottest setting and take about 30 mins, but then it will restart if she doesnt get the washing out within a few minutes of it spinning.what it does: fills, drains, pumps, spins ok…
had a bitron white interlock, tried my test rold white one that didnt have any effect
when it isnt behaving, it will start as soon as the door is shut, as long as its on/off button is on, without pressing the start/pause. weirdly tho, when you change the temp knob it turns the machine off… pressing and holding the start/pause does actuate the all-led-lit cancelling process, but as soon as they go out it goes back to what it was doing. i know its probably the lower module, but before it wings its way to emw, in case its something else, as it sounds like its in a manufacturers test routine? does anyone know if theres a button process that can cancel a factory test routine??
cheers,
Rich
PS also would this in theory work – I have a lower module and control pcb off a bearing failure wil163 – 1600 spin version. this is the 1500 spin version. do they share the same motor, if so would i be able to turn this machine into a wil163 or is there other kit id need to put on it first. cust ideally wants a low cost fix, as selling house with appliances in it in 6-9mths time, otherwise i would have written it off by now 😉

hmm cant lay my hands on the 1600 main module, but have a 1300 wil133 main module spare. would the wil153 indesco comm. motor pop that board, or would it be fine to use just to make sure rest of components are ok? checked on connect and theres 3 motors listed for a 133, one of which is the same as the 153 motor on this machine… just wanting to check as i know how fragile these machines are
