Hi
I have a Bosch SGV53E03GB/56 which has developed a fault where the pump will not stop.
I have pulled the unit out and taken the side of to check if it is flooded, but its bone dry and the red float is not stuck up.
Any idea what the problem can be ?

With the machine switched on and with the door then open will the pump stop?

The pump keeps running with the door open – I have tried the reset which ended the programme but the next time the dishwasher is started the pump just starts running again and it doesnt seem to run through the program correctly.

Is the red float microswitch jammed on? I suspect not but worth checking. My hunch is there is damage to the main circuit board though. 🙁

I have a very similar problem with a Bosch SRV43M03GB – it’s a slimline, very simple controls. Switch on and close the door normally. Now when I switch it on the pump starts straight away and just continues. I’ve reset, checked the drain and filter but still it persists. What and, more importantly, where is this red float microswitch you mention?
It’s been a good runner for 7 years but if I could get it working again it would be brilliant.
Any help is greatly appreciated.
