ParticipantI’ve received a complaint from a customer who purchased a Beko DVC563aw cooker from me regarding the main oven temp.
The customer has already had Beko’s service agent out to this, who has checked with a thermal probe and is happy the oven is working at the correct temp.
He also informed the customer that a 10{e5d1b7155a01ef1f3b9c9968eaba33524ee81600d00d4be2b4d93ac2e58cec2d} fluctuation rate would be normal for the fan oven temp, is this correct?
I’ve had problems with this customer before and suspect that the cooker is working fine but I thought I might run it by the collected experience of UK white goods. Thanks in advance
Allan.

i would not see that as excessive the only way you can get a more accurate temp measurement is to use electronics
10{e5d1b7155a01ef1f3b9c9968eaba33524ee81600d00d4be2b4d93ac2e58cec2d} fluctuation would not make much difference to cooking. so if you customer finds it a problem they cant cook

Thanks for the reply Dave,I also think the problem lies with the customer rather than the cooker but i thought I should give her the benifit of the doubt and post it on here :rolls:
Her complaint seems to be that base of the cheese & onion pie she baked was soggy even though she baked on a higher temp than her old cooker (17yrs old creda).Allan.

There you have said it. Seem to remember old cookers where +- 50 degrees but cant be sure
anyway you get used to your cooker and over time as the stat goes out you change the way you cook without realising it
If you take the 10{e5d1b7155a01ef1f3b9c9968eaba33524ee81600d00d4be2b4d93ac2e58cec2d} rule there could be up to 50 degrees difference but with an old stat this could be considerably moreDave

used to use the letter
S.O.K.O.F
this stood for
“Set O.K. Operator Faulty” 😆
i am reluctant to change it to cooker and oven does not sound to good either 😆
seems to fit in this case

I’m just hoping she doesn’t ask me to take a look at her soggy bottom 😯
