    Model – Admiral AC 2224GEKB
    Side by Side American style

    Hi, on start up both the compressor/fan work for a second then stop, on opening the fridge side door they both start up again and the evaporator starts freezing up, only to stop again when u close the door fridge side door again 🙁

    Any help much Appreciated

    the main control pcb module (jazz board) has failed.

    Hi Bob, thanks for your reply, is that the board at the top of the freezer with the temp controls on? cheers

    ok, Who supplies these in the UK? all i see are US based sellers. Cheers

    Ok heres a follow up on this thread for anyone with the same symptoms.
    I replaced the PCB board – £70 brand new from a suppliers on Ebay.
    Fitted it in a couple of minutes – easy stuff
    The replacement board was a Jazz 14 whereas the original board was a Jazz 15, this required a code change – input code 25
    Result – Working freezer
