ParticipantI have an indesit DI450. Before you say anything, I didnt buy it. It was on my house when I moved in.
When I start it, it fills up with water as I would expect it to and mixes in the detergent from the dispenser but it then beeps several times then cuts off. When I open the door, its full of water.
I thought it may have been the pump that was the problem but when I reset the machine and start a new cycle, it pumps all the water out of it before starting again.
I have read online that it may be a problem with a float switch but I dont know where it is or what it looks like. The only one I can see is the one on the base of the machine which cuts off the machine wien it overflows.
Also, the error codes I get are random, so no clues there.
Any hints would be appreciated.
Thanks

What error codes are you getting?
Also is the full model number DI450UK or DI450UKC?

2+5 isn’t a recognised error code. Sadly the Cin your model number indicates that it was made in China which is not good news. 🙁
Difficult to guess without proper error codes. If the heater or the motor have poor insulation problems that can lead to strange faults and spurious error messages.

I’ll have another play with it tonight and see if I am able to get a consistent error code.
Thanks for your help

The last couple of times I’ve tried it, it has stopped about 20 minutes into a 45 minute cycle with error code 3 flashing.
Thanks again

Do you mean light 3 flashing? ( not error code 3)
Error code 03 would be lights 2+3 flashing. It could be any of the following,
Inlet valve, connections, heater open circuit,
heater earth fault, etc.As I mentioned in an earlier post, earth faults on the heater or motor are often the cause of error messages on these machines.

Have you actually done an insulation test on all the heater and motor as advised?

Hi I’m having the same problem, although I’m not getting any flashing numbers, my numbers are not lighting at all although my power light is on. I’ve switched it off and on again but no joy, it’s just dead!
Please help…
