    Hi guys,
I have a strange few fault on one of these, first of all the carbon brushes were sticking in the holders. Sorted this and all was well, the next day the customer calls and says the programme took twice as long to complete and won’t start a new programme.
Went and had a look, found the heater open circuit…changed that no prob but i cannot reset the programmer 😯 followed reset procedure but all it does is beep and shows a zero with a dash either side?
Another issue is the element looked as though it had come on with no water and burnt, the pressure system all works and no blockages so still puzzled 😕

Much appreciated if anyone can shed some light on this!

Thanks Martin, i am reluctant to change the module in case some thing happens to it afterwards! This machine seems possessed!

Dunno how Martin knows it’s a sticking relay but assuming he’s right, it shouldn’t be very difficult to repair the module or get EMW to look at it. You should find plenty on here under a search for “relay” or read through “Simple pcb repairs” thread for some pointers. As for how to reset the machine, now that would flummox me.

Word has it from the BSH guys that these modules (Pt No: 668828 by the way) have got a bit of a reputation for failure. I wish you luck of changing a relay on one of these though I suspect there’s more to the boards problem than that.

    Keep us posted! 🙂

could the – 0 – be the child lock on ? Try picking a cycle then hold the start button for 5 secs…….or if the customer has the instruction booklet , look in there for child lock activation/deactivation
