ParticipantHi. I am having a problem with this dryer after many years of constant and reliable use.
When it is started it works for a few minutes, the drum turns, the heater works, but then it stops. If I press the button straight away it will startup, but then stop after about a minute or so.
I read above that a similar problem with a T620CW was diagnosed as a Relay.
Please also advise how I can gain access to the relay (if this is the fault) and the controls on the front panel. The top cover is off and I can remove the side panels, but I cannot see any obvious fasteners for the operator panel. Thanks very much for your help.

Yes indeed THIS is what you need.

Just take the lid off and you’ll see it behind the control panel.

Hi Martin,
Thanks for the advicce.
I have removed the relay and it is a Schrack RMRM505730 with 2 – single pole on/off contacts and only one of these contacts are being used. Is there any reason that I should not use the other (unused) pair of contacts to repair??Thanks,
JM

Hey QUICK FIX and Martin,
You are both absolutely correct.
I spent time in measuring coil resistance and contact resistances and all proved OK. So I connected a mains supply to the relay coil and left it for a few minutes and Bingo. It dropped out. Switched on again, relay operated and fell out a couple of minutes later. Could not see locate the fault at all.
So its off to the store to buy a new Relay. Many thanks for your help.
