    Moving house in a week or two. I kept the transit bolt things and just wondered whether they just slot back in or do they have to align with anything (I have it in my head that they somehow “lock” the drum so wondered if I have to rotate the drum to allow the bolts to insert correctly??)

    I’ve not tried yet – it’s a heavy bugger to pull out! Just getting prepared for removal day.

    All help appreciated.

    They screw back into the main drum support spider.

    If you remove the mains plug and take the top off the machine it may help you move the drum to align the bolts with the threaded holes in the cast iron drum support.

    Thanks for that, bolts now back in ready for moving.

    Of interest there’s a loose strip of metal (with rubber backing in one side) – it just seems to sit there – is it just to provide extra support to the lid??
