We have a Candy gas hob installed about 20 years ago. There is no indication anywhere I can see of a model type or number. It has a stainless steel top and standard four burner layout. On removing the cover I discovered that the reason the ignition button gives no response is because the ignition module, switch, and bits of the wiring have been removed. The “spark plugs” and their wires are in place still. We would like to replace the missing parts. I expect they will be pretty standard. Do you have any suggestions?

If it’s 20 years old I’drecommend replacing the hob in all honesty. Specific spares are extremely unlikely to still be available (we often struggle over 8 years old) and other things, like tap seals are liable to go as well.
