Wash heater is fine so I am guessing at the PCB being the cause of no heat. Would anyone concur with my diagnosis, all wiring looks fine BTW.
One thing I did notice, there is a little tap symbol in the display, what does that signify, the property is rather old and has a poor water pressure but it has been like this for years.

Just checked the user manual and have found that the small ‘tap’ symbol does warn of low water pressure.
Could that be a reason for the machine failing to heat?

Just giving this one a gentle bump, or should that be TAP. 🙂
Does anyone know if the tap symbol being activated will stop the heater?

No tap symbol doesnt indicate any heating promblems

No heat is usually caused by one of the stats on top of the heater box going o/c. But this is a Chinese appliance and they give really weird faults.
The small pcb piggy backed onto the main board has the relays for the dryer on them and they do play up. Position 0110 on expolded diagram

Ahem, this is a no heat ON WASH fault, nothing to do with the dryer side. 😉

I don’t know the answer to that Jim but I suspect it a contributory factor for sure. If it wasn’t filling at all then F17 error would flag up as a rule. So perhaps the tap symbol indicates an excessive time-lag between the analogue pressure switch and the module? Replacing the valve might be the answer, or even the pressure switch. Then again it could be a burnt heater relay terminal on that module just wanting a dab of solder? 😕
But also take a look at THIS THREAD
As PINKY’s tip about the pressure switch may well apply here too? After all, they are exactly the same part number (619600).:D

Thanks Martin & Pinky.
I am going to go back and try and ‘assist’ the fill time with a short hose from the hot water tap, the household pressure is very poor so removing the flow restrictor (if one is fitted) from the valve and checking the hose filters might be an option.
He doesn’t know if the tap symbol has been coming on before the heater started playing up.
Will update thread ASAP.

Seems like my suspicions were correct. 8)
I did phone this customer over the weekend to tell him that I suspected the low water pressure indicator could be linked to the no heat problem.
Just spoken to him again and he has now tried the machine by connecting the fill hose to the redundant hot tap which is pump fed so has good pressure.
He turned the boiler off and then watched the machine fill, the tap symbol did not display and checking his leccy meter shows that the heater is now kicking in. 😀

Just to update, trying a new fill valve made no difference, if you use a hose from the sink hot tap and fill into the drawer at the same time as the machine is filling through the valve it will then work perfectly.
So, low pressure, tap symbol on, = no heat on wash.

which seems logical, the pcb (software) has bailed due to a timeout on fill so wouldnt put the heater on as there isnt ehough water in there, so its gone into fail safe with the heater circuit.
