Our machine is not turning at all. Everything else appears to be working fine except the drum doesn’t turn in any wash cycle. Suspecting the brushes, I intended to simply replace them but the local spares place was out of stock which scuppered that plan.
I took the brushes off to check but found there was plenty of life in them so suspect that isn’t the problem. I did hope that refitting them might miraculously spark the machine back into life but it’s obviously not my lucky day (fridge freezer packed up as well).

Can anyone suggest what else could be the problem?

Check the tacho at the rear of the motor… use a multimeter on ohms on the two wires from the tacho in the motor socket, spin the motor to see if there is a reading, if there is no reading then you have found your fault.

I’ve recently had the same problem with a slightly different beko model, it turned out to be the “dc module” which is the small pcb attached to the side of the machine. On inspection It had carbon deposits all over the back of it and one of the legs from a component was scorched and had broken away from the component.
Failing that, in addition to what you’ve tried already and the tacho in the post above, it could be motor (capacitor or TOC), wiring, or main pcb/timer module.

Well I had a repairman out to look at it and was told it was PCB failure. I’m not sure after reading this thread whether to trust that or not but they are family friends so reasonably trustworthy. Checking the tacho was beyond me, although I couldn’t find my multimeter so I was relying on it been checked properly!
I might have another look at the DC module to see if it’s something obvious. I’d have hoped he might have spotted that though.

It’s worth double checking – dc module about fifteen quid; main pcb nearer a hundred quid – don’t want to get the wrong one or replace main pcb unnecessarily as I have learnt from my own expensive experience!
    Good luck with it…
