ParticipantHi,
My hotpoint ff72n freezer working fine but fridge temp is +25. I changed yellow and green thermister and clean the bottom coils. When removing yellow plug fan works about 30 sec. And then stop. I replaced fridge thermister as well. There is no error showing. What to do?

Is the fan running normally, dont forget that when you switch on after replacing parts the fan doesnt start straight away,it starts when the thermistor senses the evaporator temp @ -12c ish, which can take several minutes to acheive.
Check the duct which returns air from the fridge into the freezer is not blocked,it sits at the bottom right hand corner of the freezer just behind the evaporator.
Is the flap opening in the top left hand corner of the fridge which allows air from the freezer into the fridge ?October 5, 2011 at 3:13 pm #360395mak7

Hi,
Many thanks for your reply. After replacing thermisters I noticed when switch on P1 appear on the screen for about 10 sec., then temp., appear. I waited for the temp. -12 but fan did not start. Both ducts are clear. When removing yellow plug, fan did start for about 30 secs., then stop.
No error, no cooling in the fridge. Freezer is also slowing down.
Now what to do?October 5, 2011 at 6:54 pm #360396spimps

Could be as low as -14c when starting from cold before the fan starts.
remember switch off first.
If you switch off at plug and then hold down the save button when switching on it wil run a short test 10 seconds evap heater then 10 secoconds gutter heater then 10 seconds ff led display then 10 seconds fan.
Could be case of checking all connectors on the board too.
No mention of P1 in the manual.
Best of luck.October 5, 2011 at 6:58 pm #360397BobHope

plase check that your fridge door has not dropped and not activating the light switch as this also stops the fan from running, a quick adjustment on the center hinge sorts this problem.

during the test it shows
P1 (once on startup)
+8 then Fridge, Chiller, Freezer (nearly 30 secs.)
after that it showing temp as normal. what its mean? all connectors working fine?I check the fridge freezer doors, both are balanced and good.
I noticed freezer is taking time (hours from 0 to -5).Is there any thing I can do.
Much obliged -
