Is this a replacement for your coin damaged, sealed drum Hoover/Candy? If so the bearings have failed rather quickly, 😛 Sadly this one also has the dreaded sealed drum. :rolls: October 9, 2011 at 7:13 pm #360460 zomiParticipant Re: OPH148 sealed drum ? Many thanks for the info.. Its a nightmare with the new machines… Luckly no this wasn’t a replacement machine, it was machine I was offered.. Are there any of the current machines with still have separate drums .. and non of this sealed rubbish. Curenntly gone back to a hoover hnl 6166.. not the best but at least its more serviceable than the current stuff out there.. The Ise looks more appealing every day 🙂 October 9, 2011 at 9:02 pm #360461 iadomModerator Re: OPH148 sealed drum ? Most of the Bosch range have split drums. The problem is that unless you know the exact model its hard to tell, practically all Hotpoint/Indesit/Candy/Hoover are welded drums now. At least one model of Bosch machine has a sealed drum as do lots of Whirlpool and Zanussi amongst the ‘mainstream’ brand names.
