I need to buy and fit a new drain pump to my Bosch SMS50E02UK/1.
I can’t find the model No. listed against any of the bosch pumps. I want to remove the old one so I can identify it from the pictures on the website. I can’t see how to get to it, when I removed the kick panel it exposed a solid plastic base with a central hole about 1/2″ dia. This hole has a direction arrow maked under it, showing clockwise for up and anticlock for down. I don’t know if this is where I can get into the bottom of the machine or should I remove a side panel? ❓

Why do you think you need to fit a new pump if you have not even located and checked the old pump?

In most cases the pump will just need unblocking.

If you have your instruction manual then details on how to check the drain pump from underneath the filters are in there, page 19.

The arrows are for the adjustable rear foot on integrated machines BTW. 😉

The machine showed error 25,then error 24.I followed the manual to check the pump and found the impeller in bits in the sump. I just assumed the pump would need to be replaced.Looks terminal to me. I just need to know the way in to the pump and I’m sure I can take care of it from there.

Might have helped if you had actually mentioned that in your first post. 😉

Not sure about this exact model but most sealed base models drain pumps can be accessed by removing the lower plinth and the metal panel (part 0330) behind it.

A look HERE may give you an idea of the plinth and panel that needs to be removed.

It appears to be a 3 phase pump ( 611332 ) so a direct order from Bosch may be your quickest option, not likely to be a common stock item yet.
