    Electrolux upright freezer fitted new genuine thrmostat as customer said it kept on running. He says it is still the same with new stat.It is kept out in the garage.
    Any other thing it could be 😕

    How old is the unit?. Are you getting full frost ?.

    Probably 10 plus years. It seems to be freezing fine. Its just that the motor runs for longer than it used to says customer

    What temp is it acheiving,if the system is ok and it’s running constantly then would expect the temp to be-25 or lower.
    Check the cabinet temp with a decent thermometer.
    Compressor wear could well be the problem @10 years old.

    Hi

    The problem would normally be due to insulation failure after about 10 yrs,Check for water under the freezer which will point to failure.
