ParticipantHi,
I had a regular customer ring me the other day and ask me if I could fit a new seal on their dishwasher door (lower seal) It was a BFI620. It had completely broken away and ha started to leak.
I looked on the net and found that this was the version that you have to order the complete door and it comes with the seal.
I ordered it through connect and low and behold it has arrived today as the inner door without the door seal. Part no.C00109698. I just wished I’d have checked the part prior to getting to my customer.
I’ve had another look and the part number is correct to the one on connect and masterparts etc.Has anybody else come across this and is there a door seal that you can buy separately if you can buy the door separately. Or is this just another case of a part being wrongly numbered. By the way it did look like the exact same door as the one I needed but without the damn seal.
Even the photo on connect shows the door with the seal attached.
Just had a quick search on google with this part number and the two spares firms that show photos show the door without a seal but list it as having one. I’m confused!!Any help would be appreciated as usual guys.

Then God knows why Connect have sent me one minus a seal. Looks like i’m going to have to spend half an hour of my day on the phone to them tomorrow. The problem is i’ve just had another look on connect and the part is now out of stock, if I want to re-order and risk getting the same wrong item again.

c00056475 i think is for 60cm as colin says
bfi8 is 60 cm uses diffrent inner door tho but might be due to fan hole and diffrent controls but same outer door and same hinge assy and spring system with this as a lower seal kit with some luck it will fit if it fits the bfi8 it might fit the bfi620 or you might of just been unlucky with the door you got ,i recall fitting a door seal ages ago might of been hotpoint and came with a door with seal at bottom no idea of the model numbertho, i just took seal of the new one and put on the old door maybe someone did that with your door then sent it backOctober 12, 2011 at 8:21 pm #361098grooster

Thanks for all your input guys.
The door I was sent was boxed and the door inside was shrink wrapped. So it hadnt been opened. I think it must have had the wrong part number on the box, or like you say somebody has sent the door back and put it in the wrong box. I have reordered it today, but it looks like a couple of weeks wait for it. Just seems strange how I managed to get the last one they had and it was wrong. -
