    Hi,
    Bit of a long story..

    My Indesit DIF 04 started making a noise, so I decided to clean all the spaying arms and filters,that din’t make any difference, seems to be when the water is going in, it sort of Rumbles a bit, I tried with the bottom tray out, no difference, so I poped the door open and from what I can tell a lot of water is comming out of the bottom spayer and not the top, but I then decided to put something in the door, where the catch goes (to over ride it, so I could see what was going on, now the door doesn’t shut properly and the machine won’t start, can I fix this?

    From the description of your initial attempts I looks like you have already ‘fixed’ it. :rolls:

    Some of your methods are very ill advised to say the least so all I can say is get it looked at by someone who knows what they are doing. 😉

    Unfortunately as the door doesn’t seem to shut properly, it doesn’t start, so I can’t tell, but I dount think it is fixed,is it possible to remove the tubes at the back of the dishwaher that take the water up to the top basket, so I can see if that is blocked? My thoughts are, that there is some kind of Blocakage from where the water comes in to the top basket, and that is causing extra water pressure on the bottom ‘Sprinkler’ causing it to make a noise.

    So, my imediate problem is getting is so it will wrok again.

    Forgive the ambiguity and mild sarcasm in my first post, when I said ‘fixed’ I meant that you had made a mess of it. When you are in a hole, stop digging 🙁

    Ah I see 🙁

    I have had another look tonight, the problem lies with where the ‘Door Catch’ goes in, yesterday I put something in there so that I could see the dishwasher running, well my neighbour has the same model and where I stuck something in to by pass the interlock, on mine it’s in a ‘Backward possition’, hers is forwards, how can I bring it forwards, I don’t really want to pay for a repair.

    Sure, I’ve every confidence in you Steve. If you’ve bu$$ered up the door lock a new one (Part No C00118765) is easy enough to fit.

    Un-plug it first from the mains mind you.:zap:

    Thanks Martin, I did find something on YOUTUBE on hot to do this on a Hotpoint and mine looks fairly simular,so will give it a go.
