This tumbledryer is around 3 years old and frequently needs the reset button pressing. It used to be 6 monthly chore to pop the back off, reset the button and screw it back on again. It once went twice on the same day so I cleaned out all the filters etc and it was better for a while. But it’s getting a bit tiresome as it’s always seems to happen when there is some crucial bit of PE kit needed for the next morning.

I presume the red button is some kind of thermal cut out.

Is this something I, as a reasonably proficient DIYer can deal with, or is it time to scrap it and get a replacement machine?

    Thanks

if this stat keeps tripping it usually means tyhe fryer is getting too hot
have you cleaned the condensor ?

if that fails there are 2 temp sensors one on the heater and the other one at the front of the dryer dont know which is more likely but i would change the heater one first
