I am not sure if this is feasable or possible for that matter, but just an idea at this stage:-

Could UKW act as agent for processing plastic I wonder? or is it all down to individual banks to set up this?

Remote electronic terminal purchase/rental coupled to mobile phones is the way to go, but it can be costly and bankers interest rates vary.

Just thought UKW might be able to negotiate a better deal and stuff, maybe share in the business transactions? dunno 🙄

Here’s a popular brand most banks live with these days…..

It’s something I’ll revisit in 6 months or so Martin, I need more information and a few things to all into place first. 😉

Lloyds TSB and their ‘Cardnet’ card processing want £695 for a Matsu unit and £7 per month SIM card rental on the Orange network 🙁

I’ll stick to putting the paper vouchers through my ‘card cruncher’ and phoning for authorisation, thanks very much 👿

    Re: Credit Card Processing?

You have got me thinking about this again Martin.

I currently use a streamline terminal in the office and it has worked fine for the past 3 years. My problem is I have 5 desks taking calls and only one machine( which I grudge paying for every month ). So I thought why dont I get some software for the network and get authorisation through the adsl connection. That way all the girls can access streamline at one time.

Question is does anyone know if this software is available and How much?
