    The drive belt on my dryer has come off and looks worn, is it
    reasonably easy for a DIY novice to replace.

    I don’t know of any current model of tumble dryer that you could say that a belt change was a simple DIY job. In 99{e5d1b7155a01ef1f3b9c9968eaba33524ee81600d00d4be2b4d93ac2e58cec2d} of cases the drive belt fits right around the drum, this means that the drum will need removing or the cabinet splitting to allow the new belt to be refitted.
