    Recently replaced oven element for the second time in 4 years but seem to be having problems with the grill now:

    Grill works but dont seem to be reaching correct temperature & not glowing but oven element starts to glow!

    Is this a coincdence that something else has gone or could i have done something wrong just replacing the oven element wires like for like?

    Oven is working perfectly

    Hi Tommy,

    It sounds like either one of two options, either the wiring is wrong or the main oven switch, the commutator switch, has failed.
