Participanthi all,ive searched the forum and found out what this code means, however i can not get it to clear,i select drain and it runs dry but soon as i select a program it starts to fill with water cuts off and error returns.
i have left it over night as it states it could be too much detergent and its frothed up but this morning still the same.
it all started with it wouldnt drain due to kids hair grips stuck in pump and i believe more detergent was added to finish wash off.
i believe i may need to find the pressure sensor hose and clean it manually if possible, can someone explain which one this is or wot to look for or any advice would be greatly appreciated
thanks simonOctober 21, 2011 at 9:13 am #361871s.piggott1

Hi,
Yes E3 is an overfill error, the full list of error codes is here:
http://www.ukwhitegoods.co.uk/help/fix- … codes.html
It probably is over foaming fooling the pressure sensor into thinking that the machine has water in it and, if that’s the case, it won’t spin that’s for sure. Usually this is caused by the use of too much detergent or one of the cheap brands that have a tendency to over foam.
It could also be a faulty pressure sensor but I don’t know if that’s a problem with Samsung washing machines.

generally you get a small handbo0k with your machine which guide you through these complications.
this error generally associates to Water overfill or foam up – detected during ‘unbalance’ cycle. The pump should drain during this time. You will require a service call should the problem persist -
