Julian Radley from MJH Aftercare phoned me, he told me he got my details from KEVIN Watt of the WTA. That rang alarm bells.
He was full of crap in my opinion, and told me how he would like me to “uplift” invoices, add parts not fitted etc as the more we put onto the call, the more he can add as a profit to the insurers.

I’m not f**king happy about this. What has happened is a complete distortion of the information I was given and, had I been aware of the connection (thanks Alex) I’d have run a mile.
I don’t much care how good their bank balance is. That won’t comfort me if I end up in court sinking my business over ripping off insurer will it?
I thank you for the kind offer of becoming a fraudulent business but I will politely decline the “opportunity”.
They’ll get caught. Insurers might be a PITA but they ain’t stupid.

I got my call today and decided to do a bit of checking so called Ron at SES, he tells me that they are pretty big in the brown goods side and actually have a workshop with in house staff for repairs but are looking to branch out into the white goods side. He also told me that he is thinking of giving them some postcodes to do some of his work as he is not happy with the current agent he is using in EX, PL and TA postcodes.
He also said that he paying them the same as I get so it appears they are taking £5 per job to pass them on.

That is interesting as we do ALL TA codes plus 16 EX codes, however we have never worked for SES, don’t even know of them? So I wonder why this Ron & I have never crossed paths, unless my memory has gone.
I know who he has been using, and I can understand why he aint happy, but the fact I’ve turned down MJH means the work will still be done by the same agent. Makes no sense at all. MJH and the agent I’m thinking of will get on famously though as they are of a similar nature.
Any way, don’t really need the work, but always happy to give anyone a thought.

Hi Alex,
SES is in Redditch but has nationwide coverage for some insurers, he started off in brown goods and then started to do white goods about 6 years ago. Easy money, you get paid to do an inspection and if the appliance can be repaired you quote him at your normal labour rates plus parts.
He told me that he was thinking of using MJH because of problems with his local guy and he also mentioned that he would prefer to pass the work direct as he can get the info back quicker. Easy money for a bit of admin and 10 minutes in the customers house….
