Maytag/admiral GC2224GEKB American fridge freezer

This model is the digital display version displaying temp as number 1 is the warmest and 7 is the coldest.The job is a quite a distance away so i would like some suggestions as to the problem. The fault is in the fridge section,it is too cold-5,the freezer is normal -22 and defrosting cycle operating ok,could it be the fridge baffle stuck in the open position or posibly the fridge thermister out of range.Any info woud be appreciated Thanks

Most likely to be damper frozen and stuck open, sometimes the return spring drops out. Sensor problems are very rare

Thanks Johnsdad spot on,the return spring had dropped off,refitted it,now all is in order.Thanks again for your reply
