Just as a general question what are the pro’s and con’s of using a 2500w circa therm cooker element if you did not have the 2000w original version available as fitted originally ? Would the supply wiring to that element be able to cope ?

    Hi

Simply the wiring would normally be able to handle it and the cycle would be a shorter one giving faster heat up. Normally elements last longer.

also watch out if its a build in double oven designed to run on a 13amp spur or plug as these are rated at 12.5amps total power when both ovens are in use that extra 500watts puts it over the limit and takes the 13amp fuse out, free standing and single ovens will be fine.
