    Hello, All,

My folks have a Creda ‘Reversair’ (model no.37742) which recently began tripping the MCB after around 20 minutes use.

On opening the back, I’ve found the interference suppressor has popped, leaving some waxy residue spattered on the backplate!

I see that universal suppressors are available to buy in the on-line shop (part no. 1701572), but before I buy a replacement I thought I should check that I’m replacing the right part (i.e. would a blown suppressor cause the MCB to trip?).

Motor and heating elements seem to be working fine.

    Many thanks,

    SP

Correct mains filter for that machine is part No: C00206306, which is the Indesit number for a 1701572, 8) and yes it would pop the RCD.

Thanks very much for your confirmation, iadom. Spare part ordered and on its way!
