This makes my blood boil,the people on those plaques fought and died to give us a free society ,the very freedom that allows these scum bags to do this ,and there is also the matter of the bent scrap merchants that take the stuff as well ,like I say makes my blood boil

heard on the grapevine that these scrap metal boys will not be getting cash over the counter for much longer.
over the next 3 years all payment will be direct into bank accounts.

my mum was a in the R A F based in the channel islands during and after the 2Nd world war.
there’s no words to describe these people 😈

Cant believe these evil fcuking scum, it does really get my back up,:evil:

The scrap dealers who brought it and those who stole them should be humiliated and paraded in public.

They should be named and shamed made to pay for the replacement and then taken on a one way trip to Afganistan and made to walk across the mine fields! Sorry if that is that going too far but its what they deserve.

Happened in Dukinfield, Cheshire a couple of years back. Funding a drug habit, they even peeled the lead of people’s roofs and the local Churches. Disgusting

I have to agree that stopping cash for scrap payments has got to be the way forward for this. I regularly go to a scrap yard and would be happy to be paid by BACS or similar, also I’ve never been asked to show my waste carrier license in all the time I’ve been going.

Scrap stealing is a big problem over here in the USA too. 5 days back 7 city blocks were without power after thieves switched off and then stole a 3 ton transformer. The local newspaper reported that usually they take the scrap to the next state to sell it off. Scrap dealers are just as corrupt here also….. :rolls:
